SS501 Kim KyuJong challenges to be the main role in musical

Musical ‘Goong’ advances into Japan

The main actors/actress for musical ‘Goong’, popular group SS501’s Kim KyuJong who acts as prince Shin, and Kwak SunYoung who acts as Shin ChaeKyung, and others, went over to Japan on 20-May and held a press conference in Billboard Live Tokyo at Akasaka Tokyo, announcing the performances of Goong in Japan in June.

Kim KyuJong, who is doing musical for the first time, said “I am very interested in acting. Even though I am nervous, I have been practicing everyday, so I think I will be able to show you a good musical.” “I want to make the most out of the theatre performance.” He said showing his determination.

After the press conference, Kim KyuJong sang a duet with Kwak SunYoung, the theme song ‘Perhaps Love’, and the other actors/actresses also performed their solo, showcasing 4 songs which is used in the musical.

The comic originated ‘Goong’ was made into drama in 2006 and was broadcasted in 36 countries worldwide. Last year, DongBangShinGi’s Uknow YoonHo was selected as the main cast for the musical which garnered lots of attention.

Musical ‘Goong’ will be played between 11-Jun to 1-Jul at Minamiza theatre in Kyoto. After the play, they will have a special event, such as talk show, photo taking cum fan sign.

[News] Kim Hyun Joong releases BTS rehearsal photos of his “Break Down” comeback [2011.05.23]

While preparing for his highly-anticipated comeback, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong gave his patient fans a treat by unveiling some BTS photos from his practice room.

The photos are from his rehearsal for his “Break Down” stage, and fans on various community boards left enthusiastic messages of support for the star.

Key East commented, “Kim Hyun Joong is literally counting down the days until he’s be able to meet with his fans on stage, and is focused entirely on his singing and choreography practice. He’s determined to do his best until the very end so that the album can be considered a present to all those who have waited for him.”

Kim Hyun Joong will be holding a debut showcase at a venue which seats a 4,000 member audience on June 7th. His mini-album will be released on the following day.
